The first email with a request for help that I received consisted of several questions. I’ve listed each of the questions separately below, followed by my own response.

Question: When I perform a search for the number of backlinks to my site using my URL I see find 23 results. It seems to be that only 23 of our backlinks have made it through Google’s dampening link filter. Is there a time delay involved or are they credited to a site? “
Answer: The first thing is, I think you may have the concept of a dampening link filter a little confused. According to the so called dampening link filter theory, your backlinks are found and recognized by Google, but the catch is you don’t get the full benefit from them until after a given period of time.
